Napoleonic France

Napoleon’s rise to power is not unlike other dictators or monarch both historic and modern. He controlled the force and used that force to seize power during a time in which a power vacuum existed. However it is what he did after he seized power that makes Napoleon such a divisive historical figure for unlike many of his modern correlates, Napoleon did indeed usher in positive change for France and all of Europe.
